UW Ranked Among Most Anti-Jewish Colleges in U.S.

A recent report by the advocacy group StopAntisemitism has named the University of Washington (UW) one of the "most anti-Jewish" colleges in the United States. The report, Antisemitism on College and University Campuses Report Card, assigned UW an "F" grade, citing the administration’s failure to address antisemitism on campus and protect Jewish students.

The report outlines multiple incidents, including anti-Israel encampments that blocked access for Jewish students and were protected by campus police. Jewish students also reported verbal harassment, threats, and a lack of action from university officials despite a federal complaint regarding these incidents.

According to the survey, 72% of Jewish students avoid certain campus spaces due to hostility, and 43% feel they must hide their Jewish identity. The Stop Antisemitism group criticized UW for fostering a hostile environment and urged the administration to take meaningful action.

With growing backlash from alumni and community members, calls for UW to address these issues and rebuild trust are intensifying.
